Supplies:
  • Favorite Findings™ Matte Buttons: #1420, #1421, #1404, #422 (1 bag each)
  • Cardstock: 5 ½” square pink with dots, 6” x 12 ” yellow
  • Coordinating scrapbook paper: 5-6 patterns, solid turquoise, solid white
  • 7” length ⅞” grosgrain ribbon: orange with dots
  • Paper adhesive of choice
  • White craft glue
  • Adhesive back gems in coordinating colors
  • Fine point felt tip pen: color of choice
  • Scissors
  • Paper cutter (optional)
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Circle template
  • Computer and printer

Instructions:
  1. Fold yellow cardstock in half to form card.
  2. Cut a 2” x 4” rectangle of patterned paper. Adhere to right side of card. Adhere pink cardstock on top at an angle.
  3. Glue under ½” of each end of ribbon. Glue ribbon to page.
  4. Cut two 5” long leaf shapes and two 1 ½” long leaf shapes out of different patterned papers. Adhere to invitation.
  5. Create the bugs: Out of patterned paper, cut one 1 ¾” circle, one 1 ½ ” circle, and one 1” circle. Cut large circle in half and glue as wings on large yellow button. Repeat for medium and small orange buttons. Glue bugs in place with felt buttons at top for medium and large bug heads. Add a small round button for small bug head. Add small dots with felt tip pen on paper, above heads, for antenna.
  6. Glue small buttons on wings. Adhere gems to centers of buttons.
  7. On computer, print on turquoise paper: What's the buzz? Cut out each letter and reassemble words on white cardstock. Glue to top right corner of invitation.
Tips:
  • Refer to photo for placement.
  • If your computer has a fun font like this one, just print it out on white paper.
