Faux Stone Choker

Supplies:
  • Elements Buttons: #2905 (2 cards) & #2904 (2 cards)
  • 16” clear plastic tubing, ¼” diameter
  • 72” of 20 gauge copper craft wire
  • Asst beads: copper, brown, turquoise
  • Strip of brown pattern fabric: 1 ½” x 60”
  • Wire cutters
  • Chain nose pliers

Instructions:
  1. Snugly wrap length of tubing with strip of fabric.
  2. Wrap a large loop at end of 8” length of wire. Wrap remaining wire around one end of wrapped tubing.
  3. Cut 12” length of wire. Fold in half. Form a hook at folded end of wire. Wrap remaining wire around the other end of the wrapped tubing.
  4. Wrap a 12” length of wire 3-4 times around a button. Twist ends together on back of button. Trim wire. On front of button, grasp a wire with chain nose pliers. Twist, forming a Z in the wire. Repeat for all buttons.
  5. Using 1-yard length of wire, working down necklace, randomly attach buttons through buttonholes. Attach by wrapping wire tightly around tubing.
  6. Repeat using wire and beads to fill in between buttons.
