Big Button Bracelet Project Big Button Bracelet Project Big Button Bracelet
Designed by Kim Ballor
Supplies:
  • #2708 Organic Elements (1 card)
  • #0042 Big Brown Button (1 card)
  • 20 gauge craft wire: gold
  • 10 - 6mm black bi-cone crystal beads
  • 3 - 8mm round flat ceramic brown beads
  • Gold toggle clasp
  • Gold chain: length of bracelet
  • 7 gold head pins
  • Round nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Side cutters

Instructions:
  1. Cut a 7” length of wire. String a black bi-cone to the center of the wire and bend the wire in a U shape with the bead at the center. String the ends of the wire down through buttonholes. Twist wires once on the back of the button and press the wires outward to the edges of the button. Wrap a loop at each wire end. Repeat for remaining buttons.
  2. Wire wrap brown beads between the buttons. Add a third to one end if needed for length.
  3. Wire wrap toggle pieces to ends of bracelet.
  4. Open the link at the end of the chain. Attach to the loop of the toggle bar. Close the link. Repeat at other end of bracelet.
  5. Make seven bi-cone bead charms. Add bead charms to chain.
Tips:
  • Refer to photo for placement and assembly ideas.
  • To make this bracelet smaller, omit beads between big buttons. To make it larger, add more beads between buttons.
  • Knowledge of wire wrapping is needed for this bracelet. Another technique would be to make simple loops in the ends of the wires and hook together with jump rings.
  • To make a bead charm: string bead on head pin. Bend wire at a 90-degree angle above bead. Trim wire to ½”. Grab very end of wire with round nose pliers. Roll back toward bead forming a loop.
